I was going through some link today..In that, they have listed all holidays in US and wrote a note saying "Holidays that fall on a weekend may be observed on the Friday before or the Monday after."
is that so?? idhellaam too much. India'la holiday weekend'la vanthaa, "oru naal company close panra velai kooda ila"nu soliduvaangha..kadupaa irukum...last year I think, most of the festivals were on weekend hhmmmm

Yes maam that very true. That way you dont 'miss' any vacation you rightfully deserve.
Also some holidays here are like last Monday of May or First Monday of September, so you can always get a long weekend with the day off. Except Xmas and New Year and July 4th I think. The downside is totally in US there are probably 10-12 holidays, which is way less than in India.
Me - :-) ya happens sometimes for me. but generally, in the begining of the month itself, I will check and remember the list of holidays that we are going to have :p oru alpa santhosham thaan. othukaren.
SK - ohhhh I see. mmmm thanks for the info SK :-)
