Mozhi patru !!

Ellarukum avangha mozhi mela patru/piriyam/kaadhal/veri athigama irukum. matra mozhigal mela abiprayam, nesam irukalam. enakum apdi thaan. I generally like or appreciate other languages and never complained or badly criticized about it. Entha vishayathalyum, athula iruka nallathu mattum eduthutu, michatha pathi I dont care - ppl, work, friends, relatives etc etc.

One guy (North Indian), recently joined our company. avanum, ennoda other colleague (who is friend of mine. naanum, avalum thaan lunch onna saapduvom) 'oda friendum were colleagues. So this guy used to join us during lunch time. As always, company, projects pathi elam ozhungha avanuku sonnom, first few days. Then I came to know that he did his Eng in REC Trichy. oru naal, naanum ennoda friend (she is a mallu and knows tamizh too) um were talking in Tamizh. Hmm ivan irukaanae neriya time Englishla thaan pesipom - avan thaniya feel panna koodathunu.

This guy asked us whether we were talking in Tamizh. I said yes, and asked him whether he can understand the lang (Since he studied there for 4 yrs). He immediately said no and also added that "somehow I dont like that language". ennoda face apdiyae maara aarambichidthu. I politely asked him "why". He said "I dont know. The Tamilians in the hostel used to talk so loud and I hate that sound, language. also thats difficult to learn" he said that for second time. Ahhhh apdiyae avana paakavae enaku pidikalai. Kovam apdiyae medhuva aeritae pochu. apdiyae nerves elam react panra maathri. And now he added that "collegela iruka mallus speak very gently. so I am ok with that lang". The other girl felt happy (Grrrr). He also added that "The girls used to speak tamizh in a soft way. anyway I dont like that language." Ahhhh apdiyae oru kombu irunthaa avana adikalam maathrii irunthathu. I stopped my conversation with him and lunch mudichutu poiten.

Appolaenthu avan eppa elam lunch join panraano, appa elam kadupa varum. enala onumae panna mudiyalaenu, ennoda iyalamaya nenachu kovam varum. Usually I cannot argue with ppl, if at all I do, I will end up crying only :( so I avoided talking to him.

ippa oru 10 days munnadi, he joined us for lunch again. Somebody else started a topic, vera ennamo pesa poi, marubadi Tamizh pathi vanthathu. enaku appavae ulla orumaathri iruku, intha _payan_ ethavathu solla poraan. athae maathri he did. This time I couldnot control myself. Immediately I said, "dont say bad about my language atleast in front of me." Wheww ! He got tensed and asked me "oh y r u a tamilian". Dei, yaara paathu enna kaekarenu sollalamnu nenachen (vera ennamo elam green greena thitalamnu kooda nenachenu ;-). sari sari ethuku athellam :-)

Ah, appa thaan theringhuthu. namakula antha mozhi patru epdi oori poyirukunu. Ella languagesum purinjukarthu kashtam. But ethayum rasikalam la? athuku puriyanumnu avaisiyam illa la?
