Encourage me please :(

Gang,

Could someone give some encouraging words?

I will have to take class for freshers who joined my company recently. The thing is that I have a phobia talking infront of the crowd (stagefear), that too about a subject which I am not familiar with. The worst thing is this is not the first time I am taking classes, I have been doing this for the couple of years.

In a way, I feel good that I have been asked to do continuously forthe third year but stupid me, everytime I feel like I am taking class for the first time and I am SCARED. me restless since I got the calendar request from the HR.

Ahhhhh...please someone respond to this polambalsss.

I know this is a good oppurtunity etc etc, even then I feel bad, scared :'( :'(

Took another class today (for 1 hr) to the same group and I dont feel comfortable with the audience. That made my mood still worse. How would I take class for the whole dayyyy with this kind of ppl.

Last year it was a polite batch (they left me comfortable even when they asked questions). but today, ppl seemed to be soo harsh and asked so many things in a rude way...I did answer them for whatever questions I could and asked them to refer something for few questions....dont know, they sounded rude to me atleast :'(:'(

aha ivlo feel panna koodadhu kozhandhae:)

if u had done bad, u wuld not be doing it this yr.

and in that case, u shud not feel scared abt doing something in which u r good at.

and reg questions and people behaving not exactly politely,
treat this as an experience.

this is how we learn. this is how the word university teaches us.

yaaru kanda, neengale adutha varusham "stage fear ai pokkuvadhu epdi" nu kooda class edupeenga:)

note:

IBH,

U know something that the audience doesnt, adhanla than they are asking u to teach them. Just prepare the best u can. Be confident. Therlanna therla sollu, nothing wrong, but be sure to get back to them after clarification. Be confident. Look confident.
I am sure u got lots of advice abt how to face an audience. Check up on the internet and u will find lotsof good articles. But the best thing is.. have LOTS of self confidence. That helps... okayva?? Good luck and do blog how it went. :))

The answer lies inside ur blog

"I dont feel comfortable with the
audience. "

Start feeling comfortable.. Get off track(Believe me all students like that).

Get a lil personal..

Talk abt cricket and sania mirza just for the sake of it.

If u think, they r rude to u. Be extra rude to them.. They will think twice.

If there are ppl who know tamil..ask them to read ur blog. U come across as an absolutely lovable girl here (nerla akka epdiyo andavarukku dhaan theriyum)

Dont scare them with any black mails.

And last, how abt going to a movie/tour together. It has always helped.

I for one never had stage fear even if I had to say Im a stupid infront of 1000 ppl.. Its abt feeling confident that whatever we speak they give a damn to us.

The minute u think they r listening to u. U r screwing urself.

hi... first time i am commenting here..

i hav been in your shoes before.. i hav never talked in front of more than 3-4 ppl and i was suddenly pushed as a last minute replacement faculty for a freshers batch...

the trick i used was to let the audience talk more.. try to keep the session as interactive as possible which would generate interest among the audience and also you would feel more comfy with them..

as time went by, i looked fwd to these sessions.. i am sure it could happen to you as well.. Good luck!!
