U know?

People who come from US after their onsite assignment (even for a short duration), start saying "u know, u know" in each and every sentence. vera vaarthai edhuvumae kedaikalana, they say "u know". inaiku kaalaila ennamo dhideernu idhu thonuchu -- "unaku vaarthai theriyalana, ethuku ethir'la irukavan kita 'u know, u know' nu kaekarenu" LOL :D

u know why?

Good observation !

Those are fillers, another one is "sort of" !!

Also, people ask "Oh! really" if we say something ! I feel like asking "appo naan enne poiya sollren" for that !!

Ledhammaaa, u have misunderstood them...

They are so in awe of J that they always tend to say "U know this" "U know that" cause they expect the great J to actually know a lot.. It is actually a compliment for u!
